Need for Speed:Underground’da oyuncular aldıkları arabalara daha güçlü motor parçaları, daha güzel dış parçalar alabiliyorlardı. Oyun ayrıca çeşitli logo, renk, yapıştırmalar ile görünen ve görünmeyen parçaların değiştirilebilmesine olanak sağlıyordu.
